Dr. Beyer Opticals is now open. Since graduation from SUNY Optometry in 2008, I have dreamed of having my own optical, and now I have two!
After working at Sterling Optical and Lenscrafters for a few years, I knew I definitely wanted to pursue my own business. I became an independent doctor at the end of 2011, and that is when I started working at Hamburg Optical. As soon as I started there I knew it was a good fit. The owners at the time began teaching me how to run the business and I began to enjoy the ins and outs of the optical world.
As the begining of 2013 came around, negotiations happened, and I became the new owner in February.
I have always been a southtowns girl. I grew up in Orchard Park, graduating from the high school in 2001. Then I continued on at SUNY Fredonia earning my Bachelor's of Science in Biology. Moving to NYC was a great adventure. I was able to attend SUNY Optometry in the middle of Manhattan. A few years later, I was an eye doctor and ready to come back home. I currently live in the village of Hamburg and am so thankful to have an optical right around the corner.
Around the same time Hamburg Optical was being closed, Jack was building a separate office in South Buffalo. Being from that area himself, he was aware of the need of an affordable optical with a great selection and service...and so 14220 Optical was born. I am grateful to have such a devoted business-minded person by my side in Jack. I am very proud of what we have accomplished in a short time. We look forward to seeing you at both or either of our locations!
